Minden Scenic Reserve

Location

Located on Ainsworth road off SH2, just north of Te Puna.

This walk is on your right before you reach the gravel road. There is another walk at the end of the road that takes you through farmland but this walk is more challenging.

Description

There are two picnic tables and a small pond. Beyond the locked gate is a grassy access way that leads to a short bush walk, (signposted). This track meanders along beside a small stream through regenerating coastal forest dominated by rewarewa and mamaku ferns. After crossing the stream it doubles back then climbs to a pleasant open area that leads back to the starting point.
