McLarens Falls

Location
15 minutes south of Tauranga turn off SH29 onto Omanawa Road, then right into McLarens Falls Road.
Description

170 hectares of lakeland park set among farmland.

The park provides open spaces, stunning views and walking tracks through native bush.
An animal park is accessible through the park and trout fishing is available on the lake.

A new wheelchair capable track is now open that leads to the bush waterfall.

For further information pick up a McLaren Falls Park map from the Council office in Willow Street, Tauranga.

The three accommodation hostels are well suited for backpackers and large groups. Camping is also permitted. Bookings are made at the Tauranga City Council office. The park is patrolled by park rangers.

Slow vehicle access is available throughout the park providing easy access to picnic and BBQ sites. Gas BBQs are operated with a 50c coin.

Marshall's Animal Park is accessed through the park and is a must for children to see.

Dogs are not permitted in the park.
